VTech is mounting an international effort to assist Save the Children to help alleviate some of the additional stresses placed on kids living in poverty amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company will be donating $1 for each toy and baby monitor sold through its websites in Canada and Hong Kong, along with $1 for each baby monitor sold through its U.S. website retroactively from Dec. 1, 2020, through Nov. 30, 2021, to Save the Children. Additionally, VTech organized a global toy donation program that has provided more than 4,400 electronic learning toys to kids in need. VTech branches in the U.S., Canada, the UK., Netherlands, Spain, Australia, and Hong Kong have donated toys, including the Myla the Magical Unicorn,  the Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker, and the Go! Go! Smart Wheels Ultimate Corkscrew Tower to Save the Children.

“With schools closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has severely disrupted the education and social life of children, especially for those living in under-resourced communities,” says Dr. Allan Wong, chairman and group CEO of VTech Holdings Limited. “Our collaboration with Save the Children will not only enable children to continue to learn through play, but also let them know that we are thinking of and caring for them.”

In recent months, VTech employees around the world have also taken part in Save the Plate and letter-writing campaigns organized by Save the Children.
